The textile art of Montefalco born and developed with the need to decorate the 14th century Papal mansions scattered throughout the territory of Umbria. Today, this ancient tradition, reaches us completed and enriched by a production of the finest Umbrian weaving that you can appreciate in many workshops in Montefalco. The paper mill of Bevagna is a perfect reconstruction of a medieval workshop of paper production. There it is possible to know and admire all the ancient techniques of crushing, pressing and calendering of the final sheet …a charming leap into past times.
